What’s special about Papa Franciscus

Pope Francis is the 266th and current pope of the Catholic Church, he was elected on 13th March 2013 at the age of 76. His complete name is Jorge Mario Bergoglio, he was born on 17 December 1936, Flores, a district of Buenos Aires.

Being a Sagittarius Pope Francis is bold, dashing and spirited. It’s a bit difficult to keep pace with him-whether it is in his movement or in his speech. He likes to be free as the wind that blows, quite uncaring of the effect he may have on his surroundings.

Pope Francis was named Auxiliary bishop of Buenos Aires in 1992 and then on 27th June 1992 as Titular Bishop of Auca. After becoming the Pope, on 16th March 2013, he told journalists that he had chosen the name “Francis” in honor of ‘Saint Francis of Assisi’ and had done so because he is especially concerned for the well-being of the poor.

His relations with other religious communities like Eastern Orthodox communities, Oriental Orthodox community, Mainline Protestant community, Evangelical Protestant community, Jewish community and Islamic community are very good and Bergoglio has also written about his commitment to open and respectful interfaith dialogue as a way for all parties engaged in that dialogue to learn from one another.

He wrote many books on random social topics.

Bergoglio, Jorge (1982). Meditations for the Religious.
Bergoglio, Jorge (1992). Reflections of Hope.
Bergoglio, Jorge (2003). To Educate: Exactingness and Passion: Challenges for Christian Educators.
Bergoglio, Jorge (2005). The Nation to Be Built: Utopia, Thought, and Commitment.
Bergoglio, Jorge (2006). Corruption and Sin: Some Thoughts on Corruption.
Bergoglio, Jorge (2006). Humility: The Road towards God.
Bergoglio, Jorge (2007). True Power Is Service.
Bergoglio, Jorge (2009). Seminar: the Social Debts of Our Time: Social Debt According to Church Doctrine.
Bergoglio, Jorge (2010). International seminar: Consensus about Development: Reflexions on Solidarity and development.
Bergoglio, Jorge (2011). Ourselves as Citizens, Ourselves as a People: towards a Bicentenary in Justice and Solidarity.

The ruling number of Pope Francis is 8 which represents that he always has an even approach towards issues he feels strongly about. He must control his anger and be more compassionate and understanding. He has a noble demeanour. He is a humanitarian who is keen to help others improve their lot. He is not easily swayed by others and is an imaginative thinker.
