What’s special about Papa Franciscus

 Pope Francis is the 266^th and current pope of the Catholic Church, he was elected on 13^th March 2013 at the age of 76. His complete name is Jorge Mario Bergoglio, he was born on 17 December 1936, Flores, a district of Buenos Aires.

Being a Sagittarius Pope Francis is bold, dashing and spirited. It’s a bit difficult to keep pace with him-whether it is in his movement or in his speech. He likes to be free as the wind that blows, quite uncaring of the effect he may have on his surroundings.

Pope Francis was named Auxiliary bishop of Buenos Aires in 1992 and then on 27^th June 1992 as Titular Bishop of Auca. After becoming the Pope, on 16^th March 2013, he told journalists that he had chosen the name “Francis” in honor of ‘Saint Francis of Assisi’ and had done so because he is especially concerned for the well-being of the poor.

His relations with other religious communities like Eastern Orthodox communities, Oriental Orthodox community, Mainline Protestant community, Evangelical Protestant community, Jewish community and Islamic community are very good and Bergoglio has also written about his commitment to open and respectful interfaith dialogue as a way for all parties engaged in that dialogue to learn from one another.
